Bad Dragon's Anthro Dragon

Everyone has a toy or two that they bought because they think it was cool or because they think that they’ll be able to use it “one day”. It might be because it’s too daunting of a toy right now, or because it’s just SO cool that they have to have it, even if it’s not a perfect match for them. And then, once they take it home and the temptation to try it becomes bigger than the fear of it being too big/buzzy/long, they fall in love with it.

That’s pretty much what happened with me and the Anthro Dragon that I picked up at Califur. I’d been wanting a toy with a cum tube—one of the features that makes Bad Dragon’s larger toys unique – and since my husband was with me and happened to like this one… we took it home. Now, I had some trepidation about this toy to begin with; I’ve used some of their toys with large knots with success, but this toy was just gigantic no matter how I looked at it! When I got home, my husband set it down on the table, next to a soda can and then commented that all the color had drained out of my face. The toy, my brain told me, was bigger around than my forearm. Clearly, it was never going to work. Clearly.

However, I’m a very curious person. A few hours after bringing it home, I proposed that we give the toy a test run. We started off with the Sea Dragon, moved on to the Gryphon and after a lot of preparation… I was ready to give the Anthro Dragon a try. I picked it up and lined up point A with slot B, and…gave it a nudge. It wasn’t too bad! I worked with it for a while, and after a bit hit the point where I felt that it was all that I could take. I’d thought I’d maybe gotten to the ridge just below the head (one of my favorite features of this toy, by the way), but my astonished husband commented that no, I’d made it past that ridge and back to the thinnest point of the toy.

Needless to say, I was impressed with myself. I played with the toy for a bit longer before settling it between my legs so for a hand job—something that my husband suggested and that I thought was a fantastic idea. We use our human-sized toys for simulated hand jobs all the time and it always leaves me feeling whole and wonderful; so it goes to say that with the Anthro Dragon, it was even more enjoyable. There’s considerable heft to this toy, and the balls are just the right size to use to help hold it in place—it made me feel considerably more masculine than I usually do during sex. To top it off, the cum tube and the Bad Dragon Cum Lube are the perfect finish. It shoots with just the right pressure and the lube is the ideal texture and viscosity for mimicking male fluids that it feels pretty natural when it splashes up onto your belly/chest. If you’re a trans guy and don’t mind a fantasy-based cock, then I really, REALLY recommend you look into Bad Dragon’s line. I haven’t felt that fulfilled mentally AND physically during sex in a long, long time.

Another point of this toy that I enjoy is the texture. The Sea Dragon that I own has a rougher feeling to the Platinum Cured silicone than this Anthro Dragon, which still has that silky-soft feeling, but is much smoother overall. I really enjoy how it feels to my fingers, specifically. I know that’s an odd thing to specify, but the nerves down south for most female-bodied people aren’t sensitive past an inch or so into the vagina, so I really don’t care how if my downtown bonanza likes the texture. However, it’s downright delicious to run my fingers over.

There’s also something about that satisfying, meaty thud that the toy makes when you flop it into your palm… but that’s just distracting to think about~!

As with all of Bad Dragon’s larger toys, I encourage my readers (and their buyers) to be patient in letting their bodies adjust to the length and girth of the toys, to use plenty of lube and as always…

Happy fapping!!

Bad Dragon's Gryphon

I recently attended Califur, a convention that some of you may remember my mentioning in the first few posts of this blog. It’s a tradition of mine to buy myself a birthday present there, as for the last three years a day of the convention has fallen on my birthday (happy 23rd to me!). Both last year and this I picked my present from Bad Dragon, a fantastically fantasy toy company that is wildly popular in the furry community. They’ve expanded their line hugely since last year, adding everything from anal trainers to canine-based toys to fantastical gryphon toys.

This year I brought home two new toys: the focus of this entry The Gryphon and the Anthro Dragon. Both are very large toys and both are eye-catching and bright—two things that I look for in my sex toys. It’s always a pleasure talking to the Bad Dragon team; they’re great about answering any of those seemingly awkward questions that you might have about the toys they have displayed, they’re always polite and they go the extra mile—but more on that later. The Gryphon, the first toy that I bought over the course of the three-day convention, is an amazingly fun toy.

Why?

My theory is its tapered design. It blends together canine, feline and a touch of the avian to give it a unique (and slightly startling) look. Tapering from a narrow tip to a knot that measures 6.75in in circumference (that’s around, for non-mathy people like me), it’s not quite as formidable as their other toys—but still plenty of toy for my needs! The knot on this one is shaped much differently than the knot on the Sea Dragon, which is a much smoother knot. This one is sort of lumpy- not in a bad way, but in one that drastically changes the thickness of the toy as you work your way around the knot. It’s sort of an added challenge. It’s not enough to be impossible, but it IS enough to make yourself feel pretty accomplished when you realize that you’ve worked it in nice and deep!

There’s a lot of length to this toy, which might pose a problem for some people. One of the things that was mentioned to me by the team was that some people have said that it sort of “pokes” them before they can get too far down the knot. I did notice this a bit myself, to be honest. It’s not enough to be detrimental, but it’s definitely something to take into consideration when you’re tempted to rush your body in adjusting to the toy. While I was playing with it, I did notice a poke or two toward what I’d assume was the back of my “usable space”—it didn’t hurt, but it wasn’t comfortable. So I took a few moments to relax, and used some tricks to help my muscles stretch and adjust—and you know what? It was great after that!

I definitely recommend picking up some of the Bad Dragon Cum Lube that the company produces; it’s only $5.00 a bottle, it keeps its viscosity and moistness wonderfully and it works AMAZINGLY with their toys (duh). As with any large toy, don’t rush yourself while playing. Use lots of lube, be patient and work yourself up to it—and remember, every centimeter is a victory! Even if you weren’t able to take the whole thing this time doesn’t mean that you won’t be able to take more the next.

I did want to add a note about the Bad Dragon team. All three times that I've spoken with them in person, everyone has been very polite, knowledgeable and understanding of all the questions that I have. They display their toys in awesome zippered boxes (that you apparently can buy at Ikea stores) so that minors at the conventions don't see them and overall it's always been a pleasure talking to them. They've always gone above and beyond what I'd expect, especially understanding the stress of being in the dealer's hall at a convention. Everyone always seems to have a smile and a heap of patience no matter how long the day's gotten. Not only are their toys quality, but their customer service is superb. Bad Dragon comes recommended by me on all fronts.

Happy (and safe) fapping!

Bad Dragon's Sea Dragon

This is another review of a product from Bad Dragon, a site known for their unique fantasy toys. They’ve always provided wonderful customer service, and their ever-expanding line has always been unique, fun and well made. All their toys are made from platinum cured silicone, which means that not only are they non-porous, but they can be sanitized in the top rack of your dishwasher! I have to admit, when I moved into the new apartment and it had a dishwasher… that was my first thought.

This is, by far, one of the best non-vibrating toys that I've had the pleasure of owning. I picked it up at Califur 2010, a furry convention in Southern California that if you're in the area, I recommend you visit! The Sea Dragon that I own is the small model, and believe me—it’s still a lot of toy. The knot has a circumference of 6 inches, with the circumference of the shaft being 5 inches. It's 8 inches of very usable length.

I recommend that you use a very good, long-lasting lube with this-- you can use Bad Dragon Cum Lube, a product that I've reviewed -- or by the time that you get it all the way in, you'll be wishing that your lube had lasted. It's a good toy for vaginal play, and a VAST majority of the customers use it for anal play. I swear by this lube now; I’ve almost exclusively switched over to it, since it keeps its viscosity better than silicone lube, but serves the same purpose. The science behind it is essentially the same science that makes silicone lubricant work so well; not being water-based, the body isn’t able to absorb it, so it leaves more of the lube to do what it’s supposed to: lubribate!

I've tested this for front-hole penetration during solo play, and both vaginal and anal play with partners receiving. I love this toy an amazing amount; I usually need quite a bit of vibration—or my husband – to achieve orgasm. Naturally, when I tried this toy out for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised when it easily brought me to climax! Having talked with a few members of the Bad Dragon team, it seems that the Sea Dragon is a favorite among their female clients; the ridges on it hit just the right spots, the head of the toy is shaped just right and the knot isn’t too huge or scary. Overall, it’s a highly recommended toy for female-bodied, open-minded people. I personally think that as long as you’re a fan of penetration (anywhere), you’ll enjoy this toy.

My husband, who I used this toy anally with, had a vastly difference experience. He enjoyed the feel of the toy-- but the girth of the knot was too much for him. He’s excited to try some of their larger toys and, as he says, “Work up to them”. He commented on the texture of the toy, and pointed out that the tapered shape of the head made it easier to work down to the knot. As with all anal play, be sure to sanitize your toy before using it again—even during the same session!

One of my long-time play partners was visiting, and we decided to try out the toy together. She’s a very patient lady, and we were able to gradually introduce the knot. She commented that the ridges were perfectly placed, and that the knot (while big) wasn’t as scary once she realized that her body could stretch and accommodate it. She enjoyed it enough to start looking through Bad Dragon’s listed toys to find something for herself! I haven’t heard if she’d bought one yet… but I’m sure the second she does, I’ll hear!

Another comment about it that's worth making is that the Bad Dragon toys all have a very unique texture. It almost feels velvety-- and it can give the toy a look like it's 'dusty', depending on the color of the toy. I think it's a good texture-- when I asked the people at BD, they explained that it was textured as such to help the lube cling better. I was dually impressed that their lube and toys were designed with the other in mind!

Overall, the Sea Dragon is a GREAT toy. It comes with consistently positive reviews, is great for someone who’s just getting into playing with larger toys and it’s well worth the cost. If you try it, let me know! And as always…

The Share

The Share
From the moment that it came out of the box, I've loved the Share. The silicone that it's made out of is spectacularly soft, and warms up to your body quickly. It's got a good weight to it, which startled me at first, but it's not overly weighted. It's rather realistically proportioned; the shaft isn't insanely huge around, nor is it ridiculously long; it's crafted with use, rather than show, in mind.

But that's not to say it isn't wonderful to look at! My partner (who is genetically male, as he likes to put it), said that it "Looks great, it's not big enough to scare me, but it's not small enough that I'm wondering if it'll get the job done.".

One of the problems that I ran into with the Share was the insertion of the 'bulb' end. I'm a small guy- 5'2, 125lbs, tiny all around. I have no qualms about vaginal insertion, so that's where I tried to make it work. It didn't want to go in right off the bat, but with lube (water based- fun fact: silicone lube will degrade silicone toys, making them unsafe!), a bit of warming-up and patience, I was able to get it sitting in there just right.

And I do mean just right. In use, the bulb and the curve of what I call the 'front piece', hit all the perfect spots. The bulb put pressure against my g-spot, and the curve nestled against the rest of the downstairs business. It was a little difficult to keep the Share in while using it (I need to work on my kegals!), but that was easily remedied by the use of a harness- I used one of the older ones that I had, and sadly, I've forgotten what toy I got it with.

All in all, I'd give the Share four out of five stars. It works well, feels good and there was very little trouble using it.

Cheers,
Loki
